  Title: Strain Analysis of the Hicks Butte Complex, central Cascades, WashingtonConducted strain analysis on a late-Cretaceous pluton complex in Eastern Washington using the Rf/Phi strain analysis method. The project included production of thin sections and extensive petrographic analysis of strained pluton samples as well as mastering and applying the Rf/Phi method outlined by Richard Lisle (1985). Determined the specific strain parameters for the pluton as well as suggested a single-phase strain event for the complex based on conclusive research results.This thesis was presented to faculty and peers at the South Sound Undergraduate Geoscience Symposium on May 6th, 2017.
