  Responsible for the technical liaison between the EPC contractor and the client for the Phase V project. The 36-month, R1.2 bn (US$ 170m) project expanded the coal terminal’s capacity from 72 mt/a to 91 mt/a. The scope of the project included civil work, conveyors, a train unloading tippler, a stacker/reclaimer, electrical reticulation and replacement of the terminal control system. This included:• Obtained approval from the client on the scope of work and applicable specifications.• Participated in the negotiation process for the EPC contract (FIDIC based).• Developed the liaison process between the project team and the client regarding technical matters and managed this process.• Leading a team of three Engineering Representatives.o Project manager for the Integrated Terminal Control System (Phase 1) delivering an URS and SRS.o Industry member of the Capital Oversight Team that reviewed Transnet’s capital program for the export coal line.
