      Led a cross functional team consisting of 3 managers, 110 company associates and 450 vendor employees across 3 shifts for running the sinter plant 1 smoothly and achieved increase in net sinter production by 15% yoy basis from CY17 to CY19. Recruited 6 female technicians for the first time in the history of my department and improved gender diversity ratio by 15% in our control room.  Actively participated in digitalization journey of the company and built up improvement ecosystem inside the department. Led a group of operation executives and R&D scientists to innovate a novel sinter bed permeability measurement system which had come into service in FY19 and resulted net saving of $ 11 million. Responsible for finalizing annual business plan for the department prior every financial year. Committed to produce best quality sinter with enforcing daily management at departmental level and thorough internal audits. Initiated prediction of process parameters and online prescriptive operation by digital twin models at departmental level. Played a crucial role in achieving 100% compliance of environmental norms by controlling Electrostatic Precipitators’ stack emission. Developed departmental specific “Enterprise capability building system”, a testing module to identify training needs which resulted in an improved skill index by 20% Show less  Spearheaded a cross functional team consisting of 90 employees of Indian Railways and Tata Steel’s Inbound Logistics department across 3 shifts for benchmarking and reducing the turnaround time of unloading of Raw Materials inside Tata Steel. This resulted in a saving of $ 1.1 Million along with the intangible profit of better reputation with Indian railways Collaborated with BCG to lead a cross-functional project for improving the consumption of solid waste without compromising on the quality of output. This led to 27% increase in waste consumption, thus saving $ 4.5 Million Initiated the concept of “Safety Timing” for Heavy Vehicle Movement, which reduced safety related incidents from 9 in FY-16 to 1 in FY-17. This concept was incorporated in entire Tata steel works after its successful implementation in my department and was recognized by Chief–Safety in Apex Road & Rail safety committee.  Facilitated increase in the production of processed raw material by 10% in FY-16 and 7% in FY-17 by collaborating with Original equipment manufacturers of crushers which were major bottleneck to increase production. We were able to increase its availability from 80% to 92%, which led to saving of $ 34 Million. Show less
