      Two semesters of intensive language study at Minzu University in Beijing, China. Observed a strict language pledge, no English was allowed for the duration of the program and all classes were conducted in Chinese. Received a Fulbright-Hays GPA Scholarship to help fund my study abroad.

      Served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) in Taichung, Taiwan for the 2017-2018 school year. Taught English to 1st-6th graders at three different schools. Represented the United States and the American Institute in Taiwan as an inter-cultural ambassador.

The language to be studied shall be indigenous to the host country and maximum use shall be made of local institutions and personnel. Under the grant, an advanced overseas intensive language project period may range up to four years (8 weeks minimum).
