      Served in diverse positions, initially as a private to sergeant in the infantry, with continually increasing responsibility, as an Armored Cavalry officer and European Foreign Area Specialist. Held a Top Secret-Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance. Managed a program of the Permissive Action Link-Nuclear Release Authentication System. Entrusted with the command of US Army officers & soldiers, up to battalion command, on six occasions, under the most challenging conditions, including twice in active combat operations. Decorated with the Silver Star Medal “For Gallantry in Action” & Bronze Star Medal for Valor. Wounded twice in combat, as an Armored Cavalry Platoon Leader & later as an Armored Cavalry Troop Commander (220 officers & soldiers). Concluded Regular Army service as a Colonel. US Veterans Administration & US Army combat disabled at 100%.(17 years overseas military assignments) Show less
