      • Routine pipe-to-soil Cathodic protection test at least every six months to ensure pipe-to-soil potential is above -0.85V standard.• Check transformer rectifier output monthly and, at the same time the additional pipe/ soil potentials are checked and recorded at either side of the insulation flange (at the Terminal end), adjacent to the transformer and rectifier installation, and at the mid-point between these two.• Close interval potential surveys (CIPS) to test the level of cathodic protection along the pipeline.• Direct current voltage gradient (DCVG) to test for coating defects is done within the first two years of operation and at regular intervals.• Routine pigging (in-line inspection) to check wall thickness, dents, metal loss, and other feature information along the length of the pipe.• Right-of-way patrols every two weeks, using marker posts above the pipeline at field boundaries and brightly colored plastic marker tape placed about 300mm (1 foot) above the buried pipeline.• On-line real-time corrosion monitoring equipment used to confirm the effectiveness of corrosion inhibition. Use of corrosion monitoring probes and ultrasonic measurement mat. This monitoring equipment is used to identify any significant upsets to the corrosion mitigation system and provide long-term corrosion rate information.• Sample and analyze produced fluids (gas). Corrosion engineers use this data to model corrosion rates.• Safety shutdown valves inspected at intervals of at least every twelve months.• Monitor the pressure fluctuations, record, and verify. I check operating parameters for hydrate formation temperature, gas quality (Wobbe index), pressure drop, temperature drop, leak detection by mass balance, and potential for freezing, etc. Show less 1. Monitoring pipeline operating parameters i.e., Wobbe index, temperature, pressure, flow rate, etc .
