  I graduated from the FAV (Film/Animation/Video) Department at RISD in 2012. While enrolled, I worked as a Teacher Assistant/Studio Assistant for a Sound Design class in 2012. I worked for an Introductory Film class in 2011. I was also a Special Assistant in the FAV Department Equipment Checkout room.

  Was a key member of a small but mighty film crew. Helped organize film shoots with a variety of needs, as we used mostly non-actors and musicians from the Western NC community. Props, costumes, transportation, krafts services. Secured community and business donations. "If I Had Wings to Fly" won Top Prize at the 2012 Appalachian Film Festival.   I taught Animation at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the Film/Video/New Media/Animation Department. In Animation 1, I focused on the methods and practices of traditional 2D animation. In Experimental Animation, I taught a wide variety of handmade and digital techniques for creating animation.

  The MacDowell Colony

  MacDowell Colony Fellow 2017

  This winter I was an artist-in-residence at The MacDowell Colony, where I worked on my forthcoming animated short film. The MacDowell Colony is America's oldest artist residency program, whose alumni include James Baldwin, Margaret Atwood, and Leonard Bernstein.

  Creative Director, Tonal Conversations

  'Tonal Conversations' is a jazz orchestra and animation collaboration between composer, Christopher Zuar, and animation artist, Anne Beal. The first iteration of the project premiered at 150 Media Stream, the 2017 Motion Award-winning immersive art video sculpture in Chicago.   I taught an Animation 1 class at my alma mater, RISD, for the Spring 2020 semester. Helped the Film/Animation/Video department weather the transition from normal life to teaching remotely during COVID-19 lockdowns.
