  I am currently employed as a Quality Assurance Inspector for the Pacific Northwest Intermediate Maintenance Facility. My duties include reviewing work packages for opening/closing, inspecting controlled assemblies, witnessing various forms of testing, inspecting surfaces pre/post machining, verifying new material, inspecting hull integrity joints, inspecting sub-safe boundaries and paint systems for submarines. I also teach alcohol and drug awareness training for supervisors when arriving at the command. Finally I am the Urinalysis Program Coordinator for the command. Show less I reported to the USS MICHIGAN 727 SSGN in July of 2006 to Machinery Division, during my time I qualified up through and stood Engineering Watch Supervisor. I was the Leading Petty Officer of Machinery Division for Blue Crew from 2011 to 2012, before transferring to my current billet. During my time on board I was also the ship's Calibration Coordinator for all METCAL program instruments, tools and gauges. My out of rate qualification was Secondary Chemist which I used for 2 years on board to support the Engineering Laboratory Technicians in Engineering Department. Power school for 6 months: chemical, material and radiological fundamentals, math, physics, heat transfer fluid flow, mechanical equipment/theory and electrical/electronic equipment/theory. Nuclear Power Training Unit: 7 weeks of theory, relating to reactor specifics and supporting/auxiliary systems. 5 months rotating shift work, practical reactor operation, drills, under-instructions, start ups and shit downs of an operational nuclear reactor. 1 week maintenance coarse and damage control trainer.
