  Verified proper fit of all process piping and welded it to VPAP procedure. All welds were 100% x-ray. Welding materials were stainless, carbon, copper nickel, hastalloy, and inconel. Palo Verde used Arizona Power Service procedures.

  Maintained all mechanical equipment: pumps, gearboxes, screeners, hammer mills, drum dryers, fluid bed cooler, conveyors, and air compressors. Adjusted and/or modified this equipment, or replaced if needed, as quickly and safely as possible. Maintained the package boiler for proper operation. Replaced electrical components like eyes and proxy switches, as needed.

Coordinate with the multiple mechanical contractors to plan the sequence of removal of existing equipment, installing monorail beams, relocation of electrical and instrumentation for travel path while not disrupting production. Schedule closings of roadways for critical lifts with other areas of the facility without impacting their needs. Generate work permits and daily hot works.   DuPont approached me to assist with a LGWP project that was failing due to multiple roadblocks. Stepped in to assess where the project should be and where it actually stood on the schedule. Met with the electrical and mechanical contractors on-site to see where the disconnect was. Took the lead to resolve the lack of interpretation of information from the engineering firm. Within 2 months the project was on schedule, the facility was pleased to see how competent the contractors actually were with having the proper information. The site was the first one to complete the project on time out of six other identical projects. Show less
