  The position I was holding at Cricket St Thomas Golf Club was Golf & Pro Shop Manager. This entailed the following; Running the complete golf operations at the club, in charge of membership retention/recruitment of a club with 600+ paying members, writing and distributing the weekly rota’s for staff, up selling products & golfing memberships, managing a diary and priorizing workload, communicating with members, training staff, implementing checklists and schemes to improve results, working to KPI’s, taking bookings and organising golf society days from start to finish, taking conference and events bookings, having knowledge of legal frameworks such as Health + Safety along with HR etc, ensuring the EPOS system is well organised and monitoring monthly stock takes, ordering all golf shop stock including pre books and planning which brands are to be stocked, meeting business representatives from various sectors. Since taking charge of the golf and pro shop operations GM in the shop has increased by 16%, stock take results have improved from an average of 44 stock errors a month to 5, overall membership satisfaction has improved, installation of a member trolley storage container as well as the introduction of a club custom fitting service. The roles and responsibilities included; completing vehicle maintenance checks on a 3.5 tonne van, ensuring all policies and company procedures are carried out such as ‘challenge 25’, maintaining a professional image, loading up vans at the start of the shift, making delivery drops in the allocated time slots, carrying heavy deliveries, ensuring doorstep checks are offered to every customer, working in conjunction with other colleagues and managers to deliver the companies plan.
