[] As part of 4th year, creating presentations to 1st year podiatry students on the skills required for podiatric training such as hand hygiene, stock control, nailcare, scalpel technique, temporary device creation and foot padding and strapping.   SAGWG is the working group responsible for formulating and implementing our Audit and Guidelines strategies. It is a subgroup of the Clinical Affairs Committee (CQC).I am responsible alongside other members:Main responsibilities • Overseeing the development and updating of quality standards, guidelines and associated audit tools• Supporting the active dissemination of standards, guidelines and audit tools to members• Encouraging and supporting members to embed these in their practice Main duties • To oversee our work in standards, audit and guidelines activities and monitor performance against relevant objectives and targets in the BSR Strategic Plan.• To commission and evaluate our guidelines in line with our Guidelines Protocol, seeking ratification from the Board of Trustees and maintaining NICE Accreditation• To establish and monitor a process for the regular review and updating of our existing guidelines, ensuring all are accompanied by an audit tool• To evaluate relevant guidelines from external bodies, with a view to suitability for our endorsement• To commission and evaluate high quality standards of practice• To work to remove the barriers that members encounter when embedding standards and guidelines, and engaging in audit activities• To implement policies or plans agreed by the Board of Trustees and Council to an agreed budget.• To report regularly to CQC, including presentation of minutes for approval.• To work in liaison with other committees, organisations and external bodies as required, supporting the implementation of the Audit and Guidelines strategies.• To safeguard our ethos and values and to ensure that our standards, audit and guidelines activities are in keeping with its aims, objectives and resources.• To elect ordinary members of the Working Group as outlined in the society’s constitution and co-opt additional members for the purposes of particular projects.
