  Activities and Societies: Final year research project investigated experimental design into novel methods for probing liquid surfaces in a vacuum. Secretary and President of the Heriot-Watt Chemistry Society with events ranging from industry visits, colloquia and social events. Awarded the Slater Price prize, given to the student with the highest average mark in Physical Chemistry across the third and final years of the degree programme.

  Master's degree Brewing and Distilling

  Developed knowledge of the brewing and distilling industries through a ground up approach, ranging from the farming and harvest of raw materials to the bottling and packaging of final products. Undertook a research project, creating a new spirit product with local botanicals. This was followed by both GC-MS and sensory analysis of two spirits to determine their volatile and organoleptic profiles.
