      Started my engineering career in the Catawba Mechanical Systems group, where I worked through the final design stages, pre-operational and functional testing, and into the early operation phases of the station. After that, I transferred to the Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) group. I represented the CAE group on the team that researched and wrote the basis for the first Software and Data Quality Assurance Program at Duke Power Company, then wrote a software quality assurance plan and performed verification and validation testing on 2D modeling software used by Duke Power Company.
