Teaching laboratories the following courses at the Faculty of Math and Computer Science:-Computer System architecture (which consists in learning 32 bits assembly programing)-Operating Systems (which contains 2 parts: 1st part is about basic usage of linux distribution based operating systems using the command line followed by some shell scripting, the 2nd part is about basic parallel programing using processes and threads using the C programing language mixed with some ipc mechanisms (namely pipes fifo and shared memory) and some synchronization mechanisms (namely mutex-es conditional variables barriers and semaphores) )-Computer Networks (which also contains 2 parts: the 1st part is about basic TCP and UDP socket programing technically independent of any programing language and used C, Python and PhP to show examples, the 2nd part is about installing and configuring a network infrastructure (where we touched on network topology, NAT and routing, both static and dynamic ) plus some basic internet services (DHCP, DNS, and Web)) Show less The main aspects of the job are:-expanding the university's network infrastructure, by connecting new rooms, building sections and sometimes entire buildings to the existing network via copper wires, wireless signal and sometimes optical fiber.-maintenance of the university's network infrastructure, mainly by replacing parts and key devices of the network that break, they can no longer handle the tasks they are should perform or they become obsolete due to the passing of time and advancement of technology. Also by altering the configuration of some existing nodes in order to satisfy inside needs and to increase security, usually through configuration of VLANs, port forwarding, static routes and firewalls. -providing and managing multiple internet services offered by the university. These services include: *web servers (apace2 running on ubuntu servers, on both physical and virtual machines) *database servers (mysql running on ubuntu servers, on both physical and virtual machines) *DNS servers (recursive and iterative bind9 servers running on ubuntu servers, on both physical and virtual machines) *mail server (postfix running on ubuntu servers) *virtualization (managing the university's virtualization nodes, which consists in the creation, installation, alteration and cleaning of virtual machines using a vmware virtualization systems) *radius (freeradius running on ubuntu server, both in stand alone and integrated with a mysql server variants (and almost a variant integrated with a active directory LDAP server)) *VPN (openvpn running on ubuntu servers and using integrated VPN servers integrated on other network devices (namely routers and NGFs)) *network monitoring system (PRTG server running on Windows 10) *wireless network controllers (unifi controller running on ubuntu server used to manage most of the university's wireless network) I would have a couple more thing to say but I almost reached my 2000 characters limit.
