      The role of a Principal Solution Engineer is to perform all the work of a Lead Solution Engineer, but also to focus on key initiatives and strategies within the pre-sales function. It goes beyond the presenting issues to uncover the real ones. To that end, I will continue to have a focus on field service, both in terms of opportunities but how our customers may use Salesforce's Field Service Lightning product to improve the field service operations of our customers. It is a strategy-level engagement that yields the most success. In addition to my work to support sales teams and our customers throughout the sales cycle, I also am supporting the Health and Life Sciences (HLS) industry, working with payers, providers, and medical device companies. I work with payers on their customer relationship processes, providers on better enabling internal teams to accomplish their work, and medical device companies on field service and related customer service and reverse logistics processes. From a leadership perspective, I have been leading the pillar for field service in the Commercial Business Unit (CBU). I also have been co-leading the pillar for Business Process Automation (BPA). At the most recent Dreamforce 2017, I presented theatre sessions devoted to how to use the BPA capabilities of Salesforce. In both these leadership roles, I work with other teams around the world to advance these capabilities and work with product management to improve both the system capabilities as well as solutioning teams' ability to use them.
