Ultimately, I got to go to work every day and help multi-billion dollar companies solve really interesting problems. My team supported and empowered ten figure projects that also generated $16+MM a year in revenue for my employer.In my years in this role, I never missed a metric, usually landing over 150% of goal. I even was invited into Microsoft's "Gold Club" in my first year. I learned a lot of lessons, honed my skills and knowledge, and met a lot of absolutely incredible people. It was a job that I absolutely loved... until I didn't anymore. So I left to forge my own path. Show less For my first year at Microsoft, I was assigned to the "A-Team" - a team of eight Technical Architects, deep experts in their fields, who are called upon by Microsoft's customers to help them solve problems ranging from serious data breaches to low employee satisfaction and productivity. My number one priority was to learn as much as I could from them.Most of my days were spent shadowing, contributing more and more as I gained experience, and owning different parts of the facility, like "Innovation Alley" where all of our hairbrained prototypes stood on display as inspiration to those who visited. My boss, Tim Floyd, taught me the value of an incredible manager: someone whose mission is to clear the roadblocks in the way of you and success. I can't imagine a better first year out of college.
