      Honorary Research Assistant

      For my 10-month placement at the Department of Psychosis Studies, I was an Honorary Research Assistant in the PSYSCAN research team (a multinational study investigating the long-term clinical outcomes and neurological markers in psychosis). My role entailed administering assessments, shadowing trainer assessors and preparing assessment packs. On a regular basis, I verified clinical assessments and inputted data onto the third-party database system.

      I worked at the Milton Keynes Talk for Change and IAPT Service, which provided mental health services to individuals experiencing anxiety and/or depression related symptoms. My main clinical duties included conducting comprehensive telephone assessments and evaluating patient risk. On a daily basis, I liaised with senior clinicians to recommend treatment options for patients.

      Working at a community-based CAMHS service for the London Borough of Hillingdon. I assisted in delivering individual and group interventions. I held the sole responsibility managing a quality improvement project for the emotion disorders team. I was part of the Hillingdon Talking Therapies (IAPT) team providing residents of Hillingdon mental health support in regards to anxiety and/or depression symptoms and experiences. My duties included cohosting group therapy and conducting post-treatment review calls. I held the sole responsibility in various service outreach projects as well.
