I had the sole running of the business- my responsibilities included the following; - staff contracts - payroll - price setting - buying-in - selling (which involves negotiating prices) to multinational global companies such as EMR (European Metal Recyclers) and SIMS Metals - maintaining service intervals on the heavy machinery and trucks used within the business (FLT licence and 7.5t CPC licence) - ensuring safety of staff and customers whilst on premises During this period, I also maintained my pharmacy practice by working regular locum shifts.   Pharmacist Manager for Rowlands Pharmacy in Dingle, Liverpool. Within six months of taking this position, I increased the prescription items from around 4500 to 7000 per month. The shop had been without a manager for a year and was in a bad state- I immediately began to build bridges with my local GP surgeries, as well as re-build a good relationship with customers. I keep up with weekly MUR and NMS targets, as well as provide other NHS services such as flu jab vaccinations, blood pressure checks, and care of the chemist. I provide leadership and responsibility for safe, legal, and efficient running of both dispensary and shop, keeping up to date with GPHC and government guidelines.I maintain effective communication with doctors, nurses, dentists regarding patient care, and to guide them on most appropriate pharmacological action for their patients. I overview and delegate tasks to accredited checking technicians, dispensers, shop staff, and delivery drivers, as well as keep inventory of all medications, equipment, and supplies. I oversee all ordering and purchasing of dispensary stock (including expensive medication and special orders), as well as shop stock.
