  Mechanical Design Engineer

  Our purpose was to conceive, design, and construct, a high-performance formula-style race car that will compete in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Collegiate Design Series, Formula SAE. The Formula SAE competition is an annual event that brings up to 120 international teams together, where they will have to compete in multiple dynamic and static events that test the design and performance of the car.Through the car’s journey from conception to competition,our goal is to get better insight knowledge and skills here to be successful Motorsports engineers in the automotive and racing world.At ZHCET Formula Racing, I was responsible for:- Design and packaging of 10" Wheel assembly on Siemens NX.- Design iteration and Simulations of Wheel Assembly on Ansys and Solidworks for Failure and Optimization of design to meet our objective.- Successfully reduced the weight of wheel assembly (10+ kg) from the previous year 13" design. - Assistance in fabrication and Assembly process.   Indian Academy of Sciences awarded a Summer Research fellowship and provides an opprtunity to work with a Scientist at Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, a constituent laboratory of the Indian Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).- Under Supervision of Dr. T. Murugan, Senior Scientist at CMERI Durgapur.- Involved in the case study of a Project related to Blast Wave thereafterimproving the results obtained by Numerical Techniques.- Underwent through 4 week multidisciplinary lectures taken by Scientists ofvarious departments.
