Since Genesis use Microsoft Projects I could use the project files as a data source for reporting in Power BI, and I created some custom fields to really target specific data that they wanted better visibility of - Permit types, Inspection tasks (for travel planning), responsible parties, upcoming milestones, completed milestones, finish variance, S-curve with zoom, Risks and Issues with mitigations and risk matrix, and more. Using Power BI reporting also meant easy access to the project data, which is interactive with drill down's and zoom in capabilities, Gantt chart and task lists, rather than the industry standard of providing static PDF copies of the project plans. All customised and wrapped up in corporate branding to create a professional and individualised interactive dashboard. Show less
