      Flight consisted of a joint Veterans Administration and Department of Defense personnel. There are two departments within the flight; Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Laboratory. There are 72 total personnel and has a budget of $2.5 million. The lab produced 1 million lab test per year and anatomic pathology about 3500 cases.Managed the Air Force’s busiest blood bank, 3,000 transfusions per year for 40 providers, with zero incidents, multiple best practices cited Air Force Surgeon General inspectors.Facilitated $625,000 lab analyzer upgrades, expanded services with increased testing capabilities for seven new specialty providers.Ensured compliance with accreditation standards and federal regulations for three College of American Pathologists/American Association of Blood Banks and two Food and Drug Administration inspections.Implemented $1.5 million Afghan clean water project and infrastructure upgrade for expectant mother, reduced infant/maternal mortality by 30%. Create new users in DI and all third party data managers. Analyzed patient samples within the core laboratory. Proficient in the operation, quality control and preventive maintenance on the Sysmex XN-9000, Beckman Coulter DXC, Stago Compact and the Siemens Centaurs.
