      Joint Commanders Commendation - Nov 2007 I was awarded the Joint Commanders Commendation for bravery in Afghanistan.After coming under contact in the Helmand province whilst on a foot patrol, I was shot through the leg. Whilst still under fire I administered first aid to myself allowing the rest of the call sign to continue with the engagement and for the commanders to focus on calling in mortars and relaying all information back to the FOB.
