  I currently work as a contracts manager/engineer for Van-Elle (Rail Piling) in various locations all over the UK but currently based at Kettering for the Corby to Kettering project under Carillion, my main task is to deliver the agreed contract on time and within budget,visit all sites and carry out surveys of the site to enable our work force to proceed with the works listed in the works contract, my role involves producing Health and Safety documents and producing Task Briefs, Works Package Plans and Risk Assessments for the workforce to then deliver the work, I then plan all the works for the various teams and my role also involes making sure we have the various materials and equipment needed for the works through our resources department, I attend various construction meetings and health and safety briefs, our company work on behalf of the principle contractor & Network Rail and I have built up a very good relationship with all their staff.This years Xmas project I will be part of the Van-Elle team delivering the Maidenhead piling works for Balfour Beatty and Crossrail, this will involve our RRV's sheet piling on a embankment, I will have key role in the site set up and producing all paperwork and planning the works with also being a part of the team on site to ensure we deliver on time.
