  One of my favourite passions is to teach. One of the 6 principles of Naturopathic Medicine is "Docere" the role of the Doctor as teacher. Being able to participate in the growth of the nutrition students as they learn about whole food nutrition and the role of food in our lives is very humbling to me. As I watch the students become health leaders in their family, circle of friends and careers I am impressed at how they in turn use their education to improve the health of those they contact.   I have the privilege to provide clinical interpretations of laboratory results with practitioners across Canada. We provide testing for food sensitivities, urine & saliva hormones, hair & urine toxic elements and other health markers. With my background in Naturopathic medicine and passion for gut health and nutrition, I am able to provide this support to NDs as well as MDs, NPs and other regulated health professionals. I have recently enjoyed the process of binging a new test to market from soliciting samples to determine a "normal" range, creating training materials, and ultimately will be providing training to healthcare professionals across Canada. My experience as a clinician has helped to provide educational seminars on laboratory testing to students and professionals across Canada in live presentations as well as webinars. Show less

I have a strong background in functional medicine laboratory testing, and act as the national clinician support specialist for LifeLabs LP, Canada's largest medical laboratory. I believe that teaching patients how to use food as their medicine brings a new approach to their health conversation. Food sensitivity testing, hormone testing and nutritional assessments enable me to identify therapeutic targets for my patients and to develop effective individualized treatment plans. Show less
