      Jun 2015 - Aug 2015
      Engineering Intern

4Tec Solutions Ltd. is a young and innovative Swiss engineering firm based in Shenzhen developing mechanical design & production solutions to worldwide clients in industrial, medical and consumer industry to worldwide clients. My job role here included tasks to: Main project involved designing and implementing an automated lifecycle testing rig for a powered meat-grinding machine. Here I was in sole charge of the project from concept, to design and finally to application, whilst being given some experienced guidance at intervals over the 2 months. As well as mechanical design, I developed on a knowledge of Data-Acquisition (DAQ) and C-based programming via an Arduino microcontroller to automate the entire testing rig to accurately simulate real-life operation. • GE Power

      Sept 2015 - Sept 2016
      Engineering Intern

Following GE's acquisition of Alstom's Grid & Power businesses I worked within the Thermal Services sector of the company focusing on Steam Turbines which are used to generate electricity in an overwhelming majority of the energy market; from nuclear to coal, oil & gas, thermal solar generation and geothermal. Here I spent time rotating around 5 key departments: - Modules Engineering- Thermodynamics- Steampath Engineering - Service Engineering - Mechanical Integrity. In each of these departments I benefited from the transfer of knowledge from legacy Alstom to GE following the acquisition and applied these to the projects I was responsible for delivering. In this role I had great exposure to the industry, tackling very challenging engineering problems and improving the way the company operated by applying new and innovative skills and ideas. • W13 Group

      Nov 2019 - Feb 2023
      Property Developer

Co-founded and launched the acquisition and development arm of the company. With an investment stake across 3 SPVs, each of which are land assets ranging from 0.3 to 2.5 acres throughout the West Midlands & Shropshire. My role here initially was to source land opportunities to acquire, evaluate their potential for development, assess all risks associated with the land, conceptualise feasible schemes, estimate the build costs, calculate a land value based on the scheme options with appropriate contingencies in place and accounting for any CIL/S106 (approximate) payments, then finally, recommending whether an offer be put forward and what the maximum amount should be.Across all 3 sites under our ownership, all were secured without any form of planning permission in place. Not only did I play a part in sourcing and securing these plots of land, but I also helped manage them through the planning phase by guiding an in-house architect, getting quotes for and instructing the necessary surveys, meeting and discussing proposals with the LPA as well as developing financial models to maximize GDVs. Full Stack Developer Bootcamp

Formalising my skills as a proficient software developer. Whereas previously I had much experience creating niche engineering programmes to tackle problems in the real world - At Northcoders I developed my skillset to create a number of web/cloud based applications from backend to frontend.Individual Project ------------Developed a News App where users can read posted articles, log in and interact by posting comments, liking/dislikes certain content and more. I created the Frontend using React.js, Bootstrap, JavaScript, HTML5 & CSS whilst the Backend was created with PostgreSQL and JavaScript.App: https://bbb-news.netlify.appGitHub Frontend: https://github.com/bobbynagra92/nc-newsGitHub Backend API: https://github.com/bobbynagra92/be-news-apiGroup Project ------------Motive - The Secret Locations App. An app based around the best hidden location hotspots, which also allows users to post and share their own suggested locations with others. The app was developed using Google Firebase on the Backend and Vue, Ionic plus Capacitor on the Frontend. Again the languages used were HTML5 & CSS and JavaScript.GitHub: https://github.com/zaneris123/motive-northcoders Show less

    • Hemiko

      Apr 2024 - now
      Project Development Manager

Hemiko is a fast-growing innovative business which is looking to invest in and deliver over £1bn of heat network projects in the coming years. We fund, design, build, operates and maintain low carbon district energy networks and building energy systems. This work is for communities, towns, and cities. We work with local authorities, developers, house builders, and property owners. We are looking to lead on town and city scale decarbonisation. We recognise that the decarbonisation of heating and the built environment is one of the least known and “solution clear” areas - this is where we are focused and where we will be deploying our investment and our resource. As Project Development Manager I contribute to a range of pre contract project development activities required to move a potential project lead identified by the business development team through to a technically and commercially viable project bid and eventually contract execution. This is a wide ranging role which requires sound technical ability combined with the strong commercial acumen to interpret a range of information related to heat networks including contractual, technical, legal, commercial and regulatory. Extracting the key risks and opportunities that need to be further developed to ensure projects that are taken forward to delivery are done so on a thoroughly considered footing. Show less
