  As an assistant professor in a newly established architecture college, my role in student engagement involved a combination of building strong relationships, creating interactive learning environments, and fostering a sense of community among studentsBuilding Relationships and Trust: I made it a priority to engage with students on a personal level, offering individualized support and mentorship. By understanding their learning styles and challenges, I was able to create an environment where they felt comfortable expressing their ideas and concerns,in terms of design expression.Interactive Teaching Methods: I encouraged active participation during lectures by fostering open discussions and debates on architectural topics. This approach helped students engage with the material more deeply and think critically about design concepts. I also used real-world case studies to connect theory with practice, making the content more relatable.Studio and Hands-on Engagement: In design studios, I facilitated practical sessions where students worked on projects, allowing them to experiment with various materials, techniques, and technologies. I guided them through their design processes, encouraging innovation and creative problem-solving.
