      Customer Service Advisor

I began working here immediately after my sitting my Leaving Certificate examinations. I was hired as summer staff and the quality of my work resulted in being invited back each summer during my degree. The financial sector was an area I was unfamiliar with when I finished school. When I began working for Permanent TSB, I learned quickly and worked in a busy Dublin branch, taking on many responsibilities at an early stage. During my time in PTSB, my team and I won a number of branch competitions. We were awarded with the highest number of sales leads for home insurance. This depended hugely on my enthusiastic, face-to-face up-selling of products and services to customers. Other duties and responsibilities:- Carried out online transactions for customers.- Engaged in selling products and services face-to-face in the bank (home insurance, car insurance, life insurance, savings). - Resolved problems and discrepancies concerning customers’ accounts, customer service advisory, dealing with queries. - Performed transactions on foreign currency for customers, informed them about regulations and computed fees for exchanges.- Monitored foreign currency and placed orders for a supply to meet the demand. - Handled large amounts of cash daily and responsible for cash balance.- Trained and supervised new staff. • ITT Dublin

      Jul 2015 - Jun 2017
Deputy President for Education (ITT Students' Union)

I was elected to this position by students of ITT Dublin in March 2015. I recruited and managed a campaign team who worked alongside me to inform the student body of what my values were and what I could do for them if elected. The election campaign included radio interviews, public addresses, online campaigns and on the ground canvassing. The role involves representing over 5,000 students and looking after any academic issues and matters relative to their wellbeing. In my first term in office, I wanted to make positive change for the students of ITT.I proposed and authored academic policy changes within the Institute which were successfully passed and implemented to enhance student progression and retention. This involved research into the Marks and Standards documents of other third-level institutions and carefully examining the content of our own documents. This was a long process with different stages. My proposal was debated heavily and I demonstrated why changes were necessary and advantageous to the Institute and students which resulted in the proposal being passed by majority vote.Other responsibilities include:- Recruit and manage the class representative system.- Run educational campaigns and offer one-to-one support to students.- Represent students on Academic Council of ITT Dublin.- Advocate for students on disciplinary and appeals boards.- Represent students on various committees and boards in ITT Dublin.- Plan and organise events such as Graduation Balls, European trips, night-time events, etc. - Representative to the Union of Students in Ireland. (Nominated 'Best Speaker' at USI Congress 2016)In March 2016, I was re-elected by the students of ITT Dublin to represent them for a second term.I was elected onto a campaign taskforce by members of USI National Council 2016/2017.
