Provide top level support for computers necessary to production in local and global environments, from initial imaging and setup to diagnosing and troubleshooting failures in a time-critical industrial setting. Daily tasks vary widely, but in general include troubleshooting issues and handling computer replacement. This often involves managing future updates, establishing PLC communication, exploring compatibility issues, understanding various production software (LabVIEW, Ignition, VB6 applications, etc.) and working closely with production employees. For computers that cannot be upgraded, risk mitigation must be established. Other daily tasks might involve building SSRS reports, setup and configuration of production HMIs, setup and configuration of tablets for use in the factory, troubleshooting peripherals, etc. In addition, I handled the remediation of Windows XP machines after the XP End of Life. Also, where necessary, I will train and orient staff with software that is either "off the shelf" of developed in house. Another significant portion of my job includes working on projects, whether for local or global use. Several of these projects involved assisting in development and the deployment or launch. Projects demand very accurate, secure, and scalable solutions in order to be feasible for a global company, and meeting these criteria was a crucial part of my role. Show less
