    • Saint Martin's University

      2012 - 2016
Bachelor of Science - BS Civil Engineering

Activities and Societies: 2015 ASCE Concrete Canoe Technical Paper Author, 2015-2016 ASCE Student Vice President. My education covers civil engineering. This matches my experience as a technical engineer in the U.S. Army (2007-2012) where I suppoerted civil engineers with survey, drafting, soil analysis. My education complements my time as a twice returning intern for WSDOT in materials testing and ArcGIS mapping; City of Bonney Lake, ADA engineering intern; City of Lacey, water resource intern.

    • Saint Martin's University

      2017 - 2019
      Master's degree Civil Engineering

Activities and Societies: Thesis based Masters degree program Thesis based program with a focus on foundations and geotechnical engineering. My disortation covered in-situ testing evaluations in liquefiable soils.

    • US Army

      Aug 2007 - Aug 2012
      Technical Engineer

As a technical engineer supervisor I manage and participate in construction site development. My involvement includes, but was not limited to: technical investigation, surveying, drafting, and development of construction plans and specifications while performing quality control inspections. I also perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials, supervise construction and geodetic surveys, and design drafting for military and civilian construction. As a supervisor I process CAD data into final the product and transfer, process and adjust GPS data using survey software and computer systems. Show less

    • Washington State Department of Transportation

      Jun 2013 - Sept 2013
      Transportation Tech II

As a transportation technician II, I worked for the WSDOT physical lab. My duties were to log in and track samples from the field and prepare them for testing. I also preformed course aggregate and concrete cylinder testing while preparing other lab samples from the original stock pile. All tests had to be done on a strict deadline and in accordance with AASHTO procedures. I worked in a lab environment that conducted well over 100 different tests for quality control on construction projects from around the state. Show less

    • Washington State Department of Transportation

      Jun 2014 - Sept 2014
      Transportation Planning Tech I

This was a 3 month internship with the Washington State Department of Transportation. The goal of this internship was to bring the state right of way survey plans into an easy to access layer in GIS. The first part included researching thousands of previous surveys to check for compatibility and accuracy. Once done, each plan was tied together using Washington State Plane North, a common relatable medium between different project datums. Once tied together and assigned to the state plane, these projects could be brought into GIS as an optional layer. This would create high accuracy data for any user to easily find. I presented my findings to improve and maintain the new GIS layer so that it may be expanded after the completion of this particular internship. Show less
