    Applied Mathematician-Instructor of Mathematics

  • Education

    • Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México

      -
Doctor of Philosophy - PhD Applied Mathematics

In my Ph.D thesis I worked on the problem homogenization and multiscales theory and composites. We are interested in the effect the auxetic materials y/o materials with negative thermal expansion when they are constituents of composites. We considered two types de composites: laminate and reinforced fibers. In the last chapter we analyze a metafluid that is made of a periodic bilaminate of viscous fluids.

      -
      Master's degree Applied Mathematics

In my thesis I studied a two phase periodic composite was considered which consists of long parallel circular cylinders embedded in a matrix distributed in a parallelogramic array. In this composite of two isotropic constituents a problem of thermal condutivity occurs. Formulas of the effective thermal condutivities of this composite are obtained using the asymptotic homogenization method.

    • Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México

      Jan 2011 - Jan 2018
      Teaching Faculty

I have had the opportunity to do this for several years in different undergraduate courses such as ordinary differential equations, linear algebra, probability, complex variables, numerical analysis for ungraduated students from mathematics, physics, and actuarial science majors.

    • Secretaría de Educación Pública

      Oct 2015 - Feb 2016
      Evaluator of Mathematics textbooks

Evaluate the programmatic coverage, organization, didactic treatment of the contents, and complementary resources of the middle school math education textbooks.

    • INITE - Instituto Internacional de Investigación de Tecnología Educativa

      Oct 2016 - Jan 2017
      Content Contributor

Content curation as well as integrate materials to create physical and mathematical educational resources for online courses. I collaborated with an interdisciplinary team to design interactive lessons, quizzes and build a compelling learner experience.

    • National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico (INEGI)

      Jan 2017 - Oct 2018
      Supervisor

I worked with national surveys about government, public security, and justice. My principal activities were to evaluate the questionnaires and their logic flow; statistical analysis and computing, mining, and processing large data sets using R-project; generate the main indicators on public services and justice, and create a visual representation of the data.

    • University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

      Sept 2019 - Jul 2021
      Research Associate

My research interests are the mathematical modeling and analysis of composite and structures that incorporate smart materials. In my current position, I have worked on the development of proposals for different projects. I make simulations for the electrospinning process and COMSOL for electro-mechanical materials and write reports of the different simulations.
