  Jay spent five years working for Deloitte in London within the Actuarial & Advanced Analytics department. He has worked on a variety of projects ranging from Solvency II European Regulatory projects to reserving, capital modelling and pricing for Lloyd’s syndicates and UK company market insurers.His experience includes:1. Development and implementation of the new Revenue Planning Engine for a major global insurer and reinsurer: Jay worked as part of a cross service line team involving Deloitte’s Technology team that delivered a major new model build, particularly focusing on model validation. 2. Solvency II Internal Model Documentation: Jay led a team that produced SII Internal Model documentation for a major global insurer and reinsurer for various Underwriting risks.3. Solvency II Target Operating Model: Jay assisted in mapping and producing the Solvency II Target Operating Model for a major UK Insurer, in particular focusing on the QRTs and other actuarial processes.4. Reserve Review and SII Technical Provisions of Lloyd’s syndicates: Jay assisted year end reserve reviews and provision of actuarial opinions and statutory year-end reports for a number of key Lloyd’s Syndicates, London Market insurers and Global Insurance companies. This included analysing premium and claims, analysis of bad debt, and annual accounting. Jay has also assisted with audit of Solvency II Technical Provisions methodology and process for Lloyd’s Syndicates.5. Audit support: Jay participated in the actuarial support of audit’s for a number of large UK based insurers. 6. APH reserving: Jay has advised a number of UK Government companies on their reserving processes for Asbestos, Pollution and Health Hazard (APH) liabilities. Show less
