      Student Equipment Manager - Football

One of 10-12 managers tasked with set up and take down of practice. Practice duties include: Running routes against the defense during team walkthroughs. Working as a floater, helping where an extra pair of hands is needed. As well as working with fellow managers to run the chains and down and distance markers during 7 on 7, team drills, and 2-minute situation drills.Beginning mid-season of 2019, I assumed the duties of offensive line manager. Duties include setting up all drills for my position group, keeping the offensive line coach on time and to script. As well as catching snaps for our centers.During the spring of 2021, I rotated to the defensive side of the ball and handled all responsibilities of the defensive safeties manager. Duties included setting up drills and clearing them as well as throwing passes to the defensive backs and standing in during drills where needed.Beginning in the fall of 2021, I was handed the responsibilities of running the practice clock. On a daily basis I work our head equipment manager and head coach to smoothly transition from each period and drill in order to keep the team on time in accordance to our daily practice schedule.Outside of practice, I assist with the process of washing, drying and redistributing all coach and player laundry. As well as with equipment maintenance, packing equipment and trunks, and helping to load the truck prior to the team’s departure for road games. In addition to the above tasks, I lead the process of breaking in all footballs for the team, working with the quarterbacks directly to ensure that they are comfortable with the footballs we provide and use at practice and on game day.My game day task is to ensure all game balls are prepped and in accordance with the rules outlined by the NCAA. In addition, I serve as one of the ball runners on our sideline, working with the referee to ensure a smooth process of bringing footballs into play as well as retrieving any that end up out of play.
