      Management of safety training needs of the NHS Supply Chain Contract for Warehouse and Transport, including the introduction of standardisation to the network through single H&S and Induction toolkit. Management of central training budget Provision of information, instruction and training including Accident investigation, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Assessment/ SSoW and rationale for managing safely and raising awareness of claims and mitigation of these through the IOSH programme that I implemented in the Business Unit. Assistance in design and implementation of safety campaigns including implementation of Smith System defensive driving campaign for commercial and company car Drivers and also the transport “Blind Behind” campaign to assist in the reduction of CMK. Regular updates and communications to the Head of Operations, General Managers, Transport Managers and Heads of departments. Manage succession planning through recognition and reward to assist motivation of team members. Delivery of 5 year DCPC Plan (all Drivers with DQC). Sharing of best practices to sites through Networking. Planning and maintaining individual and site based CPD needs such as Manual Handling instructors, Racking inspection and maintenance, Alcohol breath testing, first aid and fire marshal qualifications and competencies. Commencement of setting up people and training course profiles on the preferred EQMS. Completion of Best Practice Implementation audits across the division to raise the performance and emphasise the necessity for legal compliance and control, completing and following up on the action plan to rectify issues around transport H&S, training and legal compliance issues.
