      Activities and Societies: Resting metabolic rate testing via indirect calorimetry, body composition testing via BODPOD, VO2max & lactate profile testing (treadmill, cycling ergometer, rowing ergometer), gym-based strength & power testing, food diary analysis, Actiheart by CamNtech ECG and accelerometry analysis, questionnaires relating to hunger, satiety, perception of food & body image, and energy availability, data and statistical analysis. The aim of this research is to investigate whether there are observational changes in student athlete energy availability (EA) at specific timepoints throughout the academic semester. There is limited research investigating changes in athlete EA over time and where this is available it is limited to time points marked by the competitive season. This role was developed to manage and assist in the delivery of a memorandum of agreement between Cycling Ireland and Masuda City in collaboration with Team Ireland's Olympic Deputy Chef de Mission, Team Ireland's Paralympic Chef de Mission, Team Ireland's Paralympic Operations Manager, Cycling Ireland's Paralympic Team Manager, and our host-city delegation in Masuda City, Japan. This role spanned 2 years and consisted of regular planning meetings and a reconnaissance trip to Masuda City in October 2019 with the wider Para-cycling squad to test travel and acclimatisation strategies, develop relations with the local community and city officials, and to conduct operational planning meetings with city officials for the pre-games camp.Delivery of physiology and strength and conditioning support at Team Ireland's Paralympic Cycling pre-games training camp in Masuda City, Japan.
