  As a corporate materials management intern , I learnt the various factors that the company looked upon for supplier selection. The study included a detailed analysis of the prices at which the company had been purchasing the various raw materials from these suppliers . These prices were determined by the rates decided by LME , Hindalco and Nalco . Hence , the main objective of the project was to study the relation between the prices decided by these indices and to be able to forecast the future prices . Show less

  As a Technical Consultant, I make sure to use my Functional and Technical prowess in Supply Chain management softwares especially the Warehouse Management system and Parcel to Configure, Integrate, and Customize these products to suit the customer's Business and Operational needs. While doing so, I understand their daily operational processes and what are the challenges they face while optimizing their inventory and increasing the warehouse operations efficiency. During this period I was involved in WMS Implementations for large Warehouses for various customers and industries. 2 of these were greenfield implementations and 2 were brownfield upgrades. In a nutshell, I am responsible for1) Understanding the Business requirements.2) Analysing if that is possible by the standard product.3) Creating PRS in there is a need for customization for specific business requirements.4) Writing the Technical Design documents for the PRS's.5) Configuring WMS as per warehouse layout and operations.6) Integration of WMS with Other systems using the inbuilt JDA WMS Integrator.7) Creating Custom Events and reports for making sure the various products are in sync always.8) Designing and deploying Jasper Reports using Jaspersoft Studio.9) Designing and deploying Labels using Nice Label.10) Identifying and resolving issues and supporting Go lives.11) Upgrading the Systems by deploying rollouts, newly released version, Installations without hampering the existing system in place.12) Designing End to end flow within WMS. Show less Along with contributions in solving go-live issues and enhancement requests in JDA parcel, I worked in getting the JDA Parcel certified by various vendors such as USPS. While doing so, I also redesigned the existing legacy reports and spearheaded the migration to use the new Jasper reports using Report Designer. This is the time I also moved to the core WMS team designing the new Web-based versions on JDA WMS working as a developer for the work orders module. This was later released in the WMS version 9.1. This role again required me to simultaneously contribute to enhancements and bug fixing both internally and externally. Show less After moving on from JDA SRM, I started contributing to the Core execution side of the supply chain with JDA Parcel. JDA parcel takes care of shipping the inventory out of the warehouse finding the most efficient delivery in terms of the time, money and value added services to the end user. I worked as a developer learning architecture and solving the issues raised by our customers along with the enhancements to improve the existing versions and release the newer ones. The core technology used was MOCA for database queries and Java/C# for the codebase. Show less
