Throughout the summer myself and other staff would attend events to build a strong connection with the community, while additionally providing an insight on Information Orillia services and tourist information regarding the Orillia area. On top of engaging with the community other tasks I had included: updating Information Orillia's community directory (specifically dentists, doctors, and pharmacies), calling patrons regarding tax returns, creating informational pamphlets, and assisting with filling tax return files.       While I'm at Camp Couchiching, my position entails facilitating outdoor high ropes, rock walls, and challenge courses to the Ontario ACCT standards. In addition to maintaining safely around heights, risk management with challenge courses, upkeeping elements, and working at heights. On top of assisting with outdoor educator duties with children ranging from the age range of 5 to 16. Roles and responsibilities for this position entail: - Facilitating and managing rock walls, high ropes courses, and vertical ropes courses.- Supervising and coordinating with certified employee's to work efferent and safely with ropes courses.- Setting and up-keeping rock wall routes. - Reinforcing safety and wellness around vertical rope courses. - Conducting course and equipment inspections.- Facilitating and managing 5 to 20 children at a time. - Readily available to conduct vertical rescues when necessary. - Following regulations and expectations set out by CUI and Ontario ACCT.
