  Responsible for supervision of 20 staff members, the administration of swim lessons for childrenages 4-14, and the development of new aquatic programs. Developed and updated a workschedule. Assigned lessons to instructors based on availability and personal strengths.

  I reviewed nomination dossiers for the prestigious Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellowship and deliberated with the rest of the committee to make a final recommendation of fellowship recipients to Cornell’s President, Martha Pollack. I provided students with academic support in General Chemistry 1 (CHEM 2070), Comparative Physiology (BIOG 1440), and Calculus 1 (MATH 1110) through private tutoring sessions. I ensured a safe aquatic environment by preventing and responding to emergencies during aquatics classes and lap swim sessions. I attended monthly inservice trainings to practice skills with other lifeguards and keep my Lifeguarding and First Aid/CPR certifications current. As a student coordinator my senior year, I helped to organize these trainings in addition to managing thirty student schedules and coordinating pool time with the coaches of the varsity swimming and diving teams.

  I designed studies testing the olfactory processing and memories of mice and rats, presented at laboratory symposiums, and successfully defended my Senior Honors Thesis, “Establishing a Baseline for the Duration and Span of Odor Memory in FosTRAP Mice” at the Cornell Computational Physiology Lab Symposium in December 2018.

  As part of the Practicing Medicine/ Urban Semester Program, I spent 8 weeks based at NYP/Weill Cornell Medicine observing clinical rotations with physicians in clinical settings and the OR. I took a weekly course, "Health Care Culture and Careers" taught by Dr. Sam Beck in addition to attending weekly seminars with faculty from Weill Cornell Medicine.

  As a NIAAA postbaccalaureate IRTA fellow in the Laboratory of Neuroimaging (LNI), I assisted with PET and fMRI studies on “healthy volunteers” and patients with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) or Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).
