  As a government affairs intern, I supported the chamber's efforts with the Government Affairs committee to advocate for local businesses and the Pullman community on legislative and regulatory matters. My responsibilities included:Monitoring and researching current legislation and regulations that impact chamber members and the business communityAttending Association of Washington Business and other government affairs meetings and providing written summaries to the chamber staffWriting a legislative update newsletter to keep the chamber members informed of developing relevant legislationThrough this internship, I gained valuable experience in government affairs, public policy, and advocacy, and enhanced my skills in research, communication, and collaboration.
