      Jul 1988 - now

I was responsible for heading a small department, with two direct reports, which was tasked with raising the profile of the English Language Centre within the EFL industry in the UK and with potential partners and students around the world. We strive to offer an excellent product, which we can have full confidence in promoting and so I also took responsibility for all quality assurance within the Centre. I steered the English Language Centre through British Council accreditation and built up our list of partner agents. During my last year in the role, the ELC brought in over £1M in revenue from commercial courses over and above the revenue from Pre-sessional English fees. I also taught on the Masters in TESOL and other courses offered by the University. Show less
