      On a voluntary basis, I attend 332 High Wycombe Air Cadet squadron twice a week providing academic instruction to cadets between the ages of 13-19. Classroom academic subjects I teach to cadets include jet/piston propulsion, air navigation, radio communications, principles of flight and operational procedures.I am also the squadron aerospace officer, overlooking aviation related events within the squadron and making sure cadets are given the opportunity to attend such events.

      Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards Duke of Edinburgh Jul 2013 Some of my best memories came from challenges I faced during the DofE scheme. Hard work, commitment, team work, leadership, friendship and many other attributes were developed during this period which stretched over 4 years. I was presented with the Gold award by Prince Edward on the 10th July, 2013, in St. James's Palace.

      Nijmegen 100 Mile March Air Training Corps Jul 2012 As part of the British Military Contingent, a group of Air Cadets from South & East Midlands Wing travelled to Holland, Nijmegen (after 8 months of preparation and practice), to complete the 100 mile 4 day international march with 10kg of sand in our backpacks while wearing full military combats. We were successful and were all presented with the Golden Cross medal.This was by far the most difficult and physically demanding challenge I have ever faced, but was also the most rewarding… Show more As part of the British Military Contingent, a group of Air Cadets from South & East Midlands Wing travelled to Holland, Nijmegen (after 8 months of preparation and practice), to complete the 100 mile 4 day international march with 10kg of sand in our backpacks while wearing full military combats. We were successful and were all presented with the Golden Cross medal.This was by far the most difficult and physically demanding challenge I have ever faced, but was also the most rewarding. It tested our ability to conquer the mind through extremely long and painful days of marching as a unit. Teamwork was also tested to a whole new level as we tried to keep each other motivated while being on the brink of submission. Show less
