  Working in the Scotland presented a whole new set of challenges to work through as a chiropractor. It is a relatively new profession over there and the education of groups (and individuals) was really fun to implement! I was able to help patients experiencing low back pain, neck pain, headaches, sinus problems, sports injuries - especially golf and rugby, as well as working with kids and adults alike with their health and wellness goals. With having the National Health System there, Chiropractic care is not included in that and patients coming to us were at the end of their rope - so to speak. They'd tried "everything else" and we could finally give them some resolution to their chronic issues. It was an amazing experience!This was my first foray into the wonderful world of running a clinic! While I didn't own the practice, I was given the responsibility to operate and run it as though it were mine. I oversaw the staff, helped them with any concerns that came up, oversaw and coordinated patient care, marketing and networking for the practice, and worked with other providers in the NHS to help patient achieve best care outcomes.   I helped patients with back pain, neck pain, headaches, pregnancy, sports injuries, etc. The list goes on and on! Educating individuals about Chiropractic was a huge portion of my role. As a profession in the UK, Chiropractic is outside of their National Health System and thus not as well known as it is here in the U.S. It was amazing getting to work in such a diverse system!I was also in charge of the day-to-day operations of the clinic - ie managing staff, coordinating patient care, marketing the clinic, working with the two other chiropractors in the clinic to help through any trials or tribulations they may be experiencing.
