  The fun stuff at ViA was working on projects that utilized speech to text for controlling the wearable computer. It was a neat little company - I like to say that ViA bet that computers would become cell phones before cell phones could become computers... we all know how that fight turned out.• Successfully developed an application that provided the Naval Postgraduate School with the ability to control drone aircraft with a wireless, speech-based system. Created georeferenced bitmaps that enabled a scrolling view display aspect of the application. • Designed and installed an application that provided Automobile inspectors the ability to report defect data rapidly and efficiently. Designed web pages with ASP/Java Script content that enabled management access to real time defect data, allowing for a decrease in response time for identified problems. Application utilized SQL server for data storage and management.• Secured government funding for second phase of Speech to Speech language translation project by delivering a solid Spanish to English prototype application.   I'm responsible for all things Pay here at SAP Concur, which is facilitating invoice and expense payments for clients. It's an exciting job because by staying up-to-date with financial and technology trends as well as client needs, I can integrate best of breed financial technology partners for our SAP Concur clients. This in turn allows our clients to automate and streamline their payments process. This functionality improves the lives of our client's employees and frees up the client's internal teams to do the more complex and interesting activities instead of the highly routine work of executing payments. I am passionate about helping clients remain educated on the product as well as provide a respected voice when there are issues to be communicated or opportunities to speak at conferences or other organized events. In any role I've had in my professional life, my goals revolve around "making computers do what they do best so that humans can do the fun stuff" and this role fully aligns with that goal. I'm so lucky to have two dedicated Product Managers who champion each specific product line. I really enjoy the support and mentoring aspect of being a manager and watching my employees grow.
