School health project: specialty medical camps for school children, de-worming, hygiene education for primary school children, adolescent health education for teenagers4.       I worked with a team in quantifying external development assistance going to low and middle income countries for Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and injuries, by using various databases like OECD CRS, Foundation center and through personal correspondence with some foundations. I was also involved with the team in interviewing representatives from key donor agencies inquiring on where NCD stands in the development agenda of their organization.       This project, funded by the NHLBI aims to build national capacity to lead translational research in cardiovascular disease (CVD) by creating and training a multi-sectoral, multi-disciplinary team; building partnerships with US universities (University of Washington, University of Wisconsin, Harvard University) and regional institutions (Public Health Foundation of India, Sun-Yat- Sen University). The overall goal of this training program is to build leaders in translational research in Cardio vascular disease through rigorous mentored training and scholarly experience.
