      Duties included supervising nine professional Retail Development Specialists on a team that services approximately 1300 wholesale and retail distribution points representing 3.4 million tire sell out units annually. Duties also include coaching and providing quality feedback to ensure development of direct reports and also working with the various customer groups and channels to make sure that their goals are met or exceeded to increase the amount of sales and improve the sales mix of the company and the customers involved. Other activities included working on a team that successfully launched a national training program with Walmart in which over 8000 associates received comprehensive tire industry and Goodyear product training that improved sales and product mix in the company's Tire and Lube Express division. Show less Position responsibilities included delivering professional sell-out support to all channels of consumer tire distribution. Responsibilities included assisting in training sales associates on proper selling skills and expert product knowledge of the current range of consumer tires available to the consumer. Other duties included providing merchandising support and making sure promotional activities are in place and located in high impact areas. I was also selected to serve on the Retail Excellence Organization National Advisory Board, which serves as a link between the Retail Excellence Organization and Goodyear Senior Management. This was one of only 14 positions available on this national organization of my peers. Other accomplishments included launching a training program with Sam's Club on High Performance tires in Akron in which over 150 Sam's Club associates attended and saw a sales lift on 13% higher in Goodyear products compared to locations that did not attend. Show less Duties included managing a territory that covers parts of 5 states with over 200 individual locations that includes national retailers such as Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Sears, and TBC. Duties included holding training classes from a local level to a corporate headquarters level on tire industry related topics. In addition, I coordinated and assisted in the organization of special events for each account as called upon. I was also involved in providing field level feedback to the respective account management teams to inform them about business issues and suggest possible strategies and tactics to resolve business problem. Activities included holding training sessions with service and parts associates about how to sell tires as well as training on the Goodyear OE and aftermarket offerings. Other activities included organizing special events with principals as well as providing merchandising assistance to increase the retail customer’s awareness of Goodyear products offered at the local outlet.
