      Retired in May, 2012 with 30 years of service. Last assignment was instructing strategic planning at the senior director/executive management level for the U.S. Army Officer education program (sub-component of the Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KS). The year-long course prepares U.S. Army officers in the rank of Major and Lieutenant Colonel for assignment on Division, Corps, Joint, and Pentagon staffs. Key graduate-level learning objectives are the Military Decision-Making Process, Joint Warfighting Capabilities, key concepts in Offensive, Defensive, and Sustainment operations, Leadership in a Joint & Multi-National environment, plus new-age Strategy and Tactics. Former assignments include senior instructor of the Combined Arms Services Staff Officer's course (CAS3); adjunct faculty member of the Command and General Staff College; Deputy J6 (Telecommunications) and Deputy J2 (Intelligence) of Special Operations Command, Joint Forces Command; Battalion Signal Officer for the 2/505th Infantry battalion (82nd Airborne Division) and 2/11 Field Artillery battalion (25th Infantry Division), and Executive Officer, C Company, 501st Signal Battalion (101st Airborne Division).
