  Head Coach

  As the head coach for A Star Coaching Academy, it is my role to ensure that the delivery of all sessions is progressive and develops every player. I create tailored plans for each player, group, or team we coach and think outside of the box to give each player the best learning possible. I am also responsible for maintaining the company's website (created by myself - www.astarcoaching.club) and all of the social media presence we have. This takes up a lot fo my time, however having extremely positive feedback from parents, players, managers, and supporters I am very proud of what I do.Running a business alongside being a full time university student is tough, let alone when a pandemic and lockdown appears out of nowhere during the first year of running it. What got me through everything was creating little achievable targets written down in my office so I could strive to tick them off by the end of each day. Our motto - LEARN GROW DEVELOP INSPIRE, are four keywords that I learnt can help me progress through my coaching pathway. Show less

  Matchday Organiser

  As a Matchday organiser, it is my role to ensure all team's fixtures run smoothly. The #communication between myself, the referees, and coaches is also a key point to remember where the players with additional needs require some extra explanation or things to be made straightforwardTo kick off the day we have our youth divisions with the U12 and U16 leagues. Both of which are supercompetitive, however, we put respect and sportsmanship above all for these leagues. We have respect scores which the referee's feedback, 100 is the highest and is given to the teams who display exemplary behavior and sportsmanship. Referees can deduct points for anything they deem to breach the respect code and this can be discussed with the coaches after the tournament to help improve everyone’s experienceWe have four divisions: Prem 1, Prem 2, Championship, and League with the ability going from Prem 1 being the highest standard and very competitive, League being about respect and getting players to represent their teams.This time of day is one of my favorites, I get everyone coming up to me and updating me on how their months have been and I get to hear a library’s worth of stories from players, coaches, parents, and supporters. The sense of community that the FFA league brings is like no other, and I am so proud and honored to be a part of it.At the end of the day, we get the scores for each match and also the respect scores from the referees. As respect coordinator, I can then put these on a table to be sent out for players and supporters to view. The competition is a massive thing for these players and the feedback we get from the community is of the highest standard I personally love to improve each tournament whether it be match time, number of participants, or even just smiles per team!Football For All March ‘22 - It’s been a pleasure to be a part of an ever-growing positive community giving people of all ages a chance to represent their teams, and play a game that they love!   The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Co Ordinator role at Chelsea FC Foundation involves the planning and delivery of EDI events, workshops and lessons based within both primary, secondary schools and post 16 education.
