  Foot Bridges over the Kayelitsha Rail Extension 2005 – 2007  After successfully tendering for the work, I was asked to set up an office for Ilima in the Western Cape and manage the construction, maintenance and final handover of 4 Pedestrian Bridges with a project value of R12 million. These bridges had to be built while accommodating the construction of the embankment and plate-laying. This work was ongoing from April 2005 to Dec. 2007 and was completed by the time of closure of Ilima’s office in the Western Cape Langa Accommodation 2006 – 2007  Tender and construction of Phase 6A1 of the multi storey accommodation blocks in Langa (R40 million). Suitable arrangements were made for this work to be taken over by Group Five Athlone Stadium 2005 - 2007  Tender and construction of Phase III of the Athlone stadium, a 2010 World Cup practice field.    Anticipating the failure of Illima projects at National level, I was involved in negotiating with the Cape Town Municipality to arrange the assignment of the active Ilima projects to Group 5 Building. All the trauma of lockouts, strikes and mass action was averted and Group 5 took over the Ilima work force. I chose to sign a limited duration contract with Group 5 until the completion of the contract in Langa that ended in July 2008.
