      •Developed a technique for eliminating the use of radiation when using intramedullary nails in complex bone fractures. •Designed a device using hall sensors that detected magnetic fields to determine drilling locations without the use of radiation.•Created and executed a project proposal, including objectives, budget and schedule.•Presented a finished product with explanation of both benefits and issues of the created device. •Analyzed resolutions of STED and confocal systems using images of nanoparticles allowing the benefits of the STED system to be visualized.•Designed specifications for a program that determined stage movement and measurement patterns.•Determined minimum and maximum specifications of the STED system, including laser activation and stage movement times to identify testing limitations.•Attended and participated in project management discussions pertaining to the lab.
