      After 17 months working as a project-based contractor I was offered a full-time position as manager of Samsung’s largest Network division warehouse. My responsibilities include overall management of forward logistics, reverse logistics and kitting in a 120K SqFt warehouse. My specific duties include:• Define and implement improvements in the areas of quality, cost, and performance.• Work with Supply Chain Management to forecast capacity and create weekly delivery plans.• Supervise the screening and disposition of returns (e.g. scrap, return to stock, repair, etc.).• Monitor daily cycle counts and coordinate periodic physical inventories with Accounting.• Research discrepancies with suppliers. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.• Perform daily warehouse walk-throughs to ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards.• Review and approve rush-shipping requests to ensure lowest cost option is used.Some key accomplishments during this time include:• Implemented process improvements to drive inventory accuracy from below 99% to 99.98%.• Created new packaging solutions to prevent damage during transportation.• Implemented new compliance labeling resulting in elimination of customer receiving errors.• Drove inventory conversion projects resulting in a $7M reduction in excess inventory.
