  Product Development Engineer/Project coordinator

  As a Mechanical Product Development Engineer, I coordinated and managed a project of R2 040 000 and also developed award-winning medical device. I conducted market feasibility studies to assess market needs and product viability. I performed the product development from concept to detailed, performed engineering analysis using ANSYS Fluent for CFD and and Mechaincal for FEA, and developed prototypes using 3D printers. Collaborated with tool engineers, to refine designs and develop suitable injection molding tools. Throughout the process, I focused on factors such as material selection, cost optimisation, and regulatory compliance. My role aimed to deliver innovative and high-quality products that met customer (medical Personnel) expectations from initiation to completion.As a project coordinator for a project consisting of six separate products and a team of 14 members, I conducted project planning and scoping, defining objectives, deliverables, and timelines alongside project mentors. Facilitated effective coordination and collaboration among team members from different disciplines. By assembling the team and fostering communication, I ensured seamless integration of mechanical, mechatronics, and electrical aspects aligning tasks, resources, and timelines specific to each product, while considering the overall project objectives and milestones.
